AI Policy
AI Policy
JURNAL ILMU KENOTARIATAN (JIK) acknowledges the development and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, including Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT, in academic writing. Referring to COPE and WAME guidelines, this journal establishes the following policy:
AI is Not an Author: AI programs, LLMs, or chatbots do not meet the requirements for authorship because they cannot be legally or ethically held accountable for the generated work. AI programs must not be listed as an Author or Co-author.
Usage Limitations: Authors are only permitted to use AI tools to improve the grammar, spelling, and readability of the manuscript. AI is strictly prohibited from being used to generate, manipulate, or fabricate data, images, research results, and scientific conclusions.
Declaration of Use: If authors use AI assistance in preparing the manuscript, it must be transparently declared at the end of the manuscript (e.g., in the Acknowledgements or a specific AI Declaration section), specifying the name and version of the tool used, and the purpose of its use.
Full Responsibility: Human authors hold 100% full responsibility for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the entire manuscript content, including any AI-assisted sections. Authors are responsible for ensuring that AI-assisted text does not contain plagiarism from other sources.
Confidentiality by Reviewers: Reviewers and Editors are prohibited from uploading manuscripts under review to public AI platforms (such as ChatGPT) to maintain the confidentiality of unpublished manuscripts and prevent copyright infringement of the original authors.
